Bhaskaran Gopalakrishnan is a Full Professor with tenure in the Department of Industrial and Management Systems Engineering, Benjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources at West Virginia University and Director of its Industrial Assessment Center.

He is a registered Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of West Virginia, a Certified Energy Manager CEM, a certified LEED Green Associate, Member of Editorial Board of Energy Engineering Journal, Member of Editorial Board of International Journal of Energy Technology and Policy a qualified instructor for the Fundamentals of Compressed Air Systems, Compressed Air Challenge and a U.S. Department of Energy qualified specialist in Advanced Manufacturing Office Technology Deployment software tools listed below:

MEASUR (energy systems evaluation tool), AIRMaster+ (compressed air), PHAST (process heating), FSAT (fans), PSAT (pumps) and Steam System Modeler.

Dr. Gopala serves on the AEE SEP Performance Verifier (SEP PV) Certification Board and the AEE 50001 Certified Practitioner in Energy Management Systems (50001 CP EnMS) Certification Board.
