Bhaskaran Gopalakrishnan, PhD, PE is a Full Professor with tenure in the Department of  Industrial and Management Systems EngineeringBenjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources  at West Virginia University and director of its Industrial Assessment Center.

He is a Certified Energy Manager CEM, a registered Professional Engineer in West Virginia, a Certified Practitioner in  Industrial Energy Management Systems CPEnMS, a certified  LEED Green Associate, a qualified instructor for the Fundamentals of Compressed Air Systems,  Compressed Air Challenge and a U.S. Department of Energy qualified specialist in Advanced Manufacturing Office Technology Deployment software tools like AIRMaster+ (compressed),  PHAST (process heating),  FSAT (fans),  PSAT (pumps) and SSAT/SSST (steam).

These attributes have enabled Gopalakrishnan to lead the highly successful IAC far beyond its founding mission. He also serves on the board of directors for the  Institute of Energy Management Professionals.
